Terrie
Breen of Takara Akitas has been breeding and
showing Akitas since 1982. Little did she know that the pet-quality
male that she purchased back then would not only go on to earn
his championship in just a few shows, but would also help her
become one of Connecticut's most respected breeders of exceptional,
well-tempered Akitas.
We
are a small kennel operating just North of Hartford, Connecticut.
We produce no more than 2 planned litters per year. Terrie's
extensive research and "interviewing" throughout the
year for Champion stud dogs that possess exceptional temperaments
has certainly been rewarded. Owners, Judges, Handlers and Exhibitors
throughout the country are continually amazed by the outstanding
conformation and temperament of Takara Akitas.
Takara
Akitas actively participates in many dog shows throughout the
Country, including shows on the East Coast, shows throughout
New England, The Akita Club of America's National Show, and
the Westminster Kennel Club Shows. Please contact us if you
are interested in having your dog campaigned.Over the past few
years, Takara Akitas has integrated some of the National top
breeding programs with it's own. They include the following
lines: Windom, Northstar, Akiko, Goshen, Nutmeg, Hyojun and
Kamikazi.
